Godzilla Minus One returns to theaters with all-new footage

Godzilla has been around the block several times, and one of his last runs broke records across the board. Last winter the world was listening Godzilla minus one was released in theaters and the Japanese film exceeded all expectations. From its stunning visual effects to its intense storyline, the film ended its historic journey with an Oscar under its belt. And now a new report has confirmed Godzilla minus one returns to American theaters with all-new footage.

Over at AMC, the movie chain updated its online programming, and that’s where fans noticed the return of Godzilla minus one. The listing confirms that the film will return to AMC theaters later this year for the kaiju’s 70th anniversary. The film will be screened for a limited time and will be accompanied by over 10 minutes of exclusive content.

Outside of cinemas, the MonsterVerse is also taking over the small screen. Last year the franchise was released Monarch: Legacy of Monstersa live drama streaming exclusively on Apple TV+. A second season has been ordered and casting for the project is already underway. In the first season, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters explored the foundations of MONARCH, the secret organization that hunts kaiju across the world. When the death of a researcher brings his two families closer together, his children end up learning more about the secrets hidden by MONARCH. The second season of the series will continue to unravel the mystery of the family while dealing with the trauma associated with the kaiju attacks, so netizens better tune in.
