Winona man pleads guilty to riot charge in stabbing incident

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) – Larry Hudson, 40, who allegedly stabbed two 23-year-olds outside a Winona bar on March 14, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of third-degree rioting.

In March 2024, Hudson allegedly began arguments with a number of bar patrons in Winona, which then escalated when a knife was produced and two 23-year-olds were stabbed.

Hudson was initially charged with second-degree assault, second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon and third-degree rioting.

On Thursday, Hudson pleaded guilty to the charge of third-degree rioting, asking for the other two charges to be dismissed.

Sentencing is set for January 9, 2025.
