In Bengaluru, a six-storey building under construction collapsed due to heavy rains, leading to the death of five people so far. At the time of the incident, more than 15 workers were present in the building.

In Delhi, air quality remains hazardous as toxic water has contaminated the Yamuna River, with white scum floating in Kalindi Kunj. The condition of the river has deteriorated considerably in recent days.

Delhi-NCR continues to experience hazy skies, with a lingering layer of white smog. The air quality index (AQI) reached the “very poor” level of 349.

As part of measures to combat pollution, GRAP 2 has been implemented in Delhi since Monday. This includes increased frequency of DTC buses and subway services, as well as higher parking fees. The Public Works Department (PWD) is also sprinkling water in various areas, including Mansingh Road, to reduce dust and haze.
