Authorities investigate home invasion, burglary in Hopkins County

EARLINGTON, Ky. (WBKO) – The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a burglary investigation.

Shortly after 3 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a home invasion in the 400 block of South Robinson Street in Earlington, according to a release.

When HCSO arrived, the victim reported that two men had forced entry into his residence. She said both men had handguns and one of the men hit her in the face with a gun. They also threatened her and her three minor children, who were in the house at the time of the incident, she said.

The men then allegedly took items from the house and fled on foot.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with video surveillance in the area is asked to review the footage between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. and contact HCSO if the two men or a vehicle were captured.
