SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – A Sioux City man has pleaded not guilty to a homicide that happened in early September.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Michael P. White Thunder, 33, of Sioux City, pleaded not guilty to one count of second-degree murder, according to court documents.

The same documents indicate that White Thunder also demanded a speedy trial.

White Thunder was arrested and charged for an incident that occurred on Monday, September 2. That day, the Sioux City Police Department received a report of a motorcycle accident near the intersection of W. 20th and Rebecca St. in Sioux City.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man, later identified as Bret B. Seibold, 65, with a head injury.

Seibold was transported to a local hospital but was later transferred to an Omaha hospital where he died from his injuries.

As previously reported, police determined there was no motorcycle accident. They learned that an argument had taken place between Seibold and White Thunder before officers were called.

White Thunder also allegedly told officers he threw a brick at Seibold. He claims he did this because Seibold was trying to run him over but denied hitting Seibold with the brick.

White Thunder remains in custody at the Woodbury County Jail.
