Strictly Come Dancing fans make same complaint about show | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

Strictly Come Dancing viewers voiced their discontent during the latest results show, as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced the couple were leaving the competition after five weeks.

However, fans were more unhappy with the show’s new format, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to complain. One fan wrote: “No opening number. Straight to the results and recap. Sorry, I don’t like the new #Strictly format at all.”

Others echoed the sentiment, with another fan saying: “Another week without starting with the group number, can they please go back to the old format, it’s just strange #strictly .” A third fan chimed in: “#Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing PLEASE CHANGE THE FORMAT CHALLENGE!!!!!”

The show had also been the subject of controversy earlier in the week when Welsh star Wynne Evans and her partner Katya Jones sparked a viral clip which appeared to show Katya pushing away Wynne’s hand, but she later clarified that it was an inside joke.

Earlier this week he said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me over the last few days. It’s not nice to live in these times, but deep down, Katya and I are really close and we’re really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid prank that went wrong, okay? We didn’t think it was funny. »

Saturday night’s show ended with Jamie, Michelle, Montell and Johannes topping the leaderboard, both scoring 39 points out of 40 for their Paso Doble and Couple’s Choice routines.

Chris and Dianne followed close behind, winning third place with a waltz scoring 35 points, while Alijaz and Tasha were hot on their heels with a Tango which placed them fourth, reports the Mirror.

Wynne and Katyas Quickstep earned them fifth place. Unfortunately, at the bottom of the ladder, Paul and Karen languished with a paltry 19 points out of 40 for their Samba, and Punam and Gorka’s Vinesse Waltz left them in penultimate position with 21 points. Pete and Jowita, hampered by Craig’s low score, came third from bottom with their Rumba, followed by Sam and Nikita Quickstep.
