Invincible Season 3 Release Date Addresses Major Fan Complaint

The problem with making a successful TV adaptation of a beloved superhero comic is that fans tend to want more…and they tend to want it NOW. This is the uncomfortable, but enviable, situation facing Prime Video. Invinciblethe excellent animated version of the bloody comic book series from Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley that follows the rise of young Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) as the titular half-Viltrumite superhero.

Prime Video probably thought it was doing fans a favor by announcing an accelerated release for the show’s second season – the only problem was that it would be split into two parts (or technically three if you include the Atom Eve pre-season special) . After waiting 18 months for the second chapter of Mark’s story, Invincible Viewers weren’t too excited about the long vacation that split Season 2’s eight episodes into two four-episode halves. Luckily, Prime has now announced a release date for Invincible season 3 and above all, it’s just this: A release date.

Invincible Season 3 will air its first three episodes on Prime Video on Thursday, February 6, 2025. A new episode will air each week on Thursdays, culminating with the finale on March 13. There will be no mid-season vacation. Hell, there aren’t many holidays to celebrate in February anyway — unless the show wants to take some time to celebrate President’s Day.

In keeping with its social media strategy, let’s say… attentive to fans’ complaints, Prime Video did the Invincible announcement of season 3 in a rather meta way. Watch the clip below to see what we mean.
