Tallahassee police arrest three people in connection with Tuesday shooting

A man and two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Oak Village Apartments, police said:

  • Jam’esse Williams, 27, was arrested for armed robbery, attempted homicide and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held at the Leon County Detention Center.
  • A 15-year-old boy was arrested for armed robbery, attempted murder and probation violation.
  • A 17-year-old was arrested for armed robbery, attempted murder and carrying a concealed firearm.

Both teens were taken to the juvenile detention center, according to a news release from the Tallahassee Police Department. The Democrat is not naming teens if they have not been charged as adults.

The trio allegedly shot and seriously injured a man in the parking lot of the apartment complex at 500 McKeithen Street shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found the victim in a parked car with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to an initial TPD news release. They began rescue maneuvers until Leon County Emergency Medical Services arrived and took over. As of Tuesday evening, the victim was in critical condition at a local hospital.
