Blue star Simon Webbe has apologized to his fans after hitting back at a rude audience member during a performance with the band at the Foodies Festival.

Footage obtained by MailOnline showed the singer, 45, appearing to attack a fan who had caught his eye, while the band were performing in August.

The footage showed Simon appearing to react to a fan, with one onlooker revealing a member of the crowd had made “rude gestures” towards him.

The star was held back by teammate Lee Ryan, who guided him to the other side of the stage before continuing the performance.

Simon apologized to the crowd for his behavior, and the band ended their performance with a rousing welcome.

A representative for Simon declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

It comes just weeks after Simon revealed he had welcomed his second child with wife Ayshen.

The couple announced on Instagram that their second daughter Riya Diamond was born on June 27.

Mocking the delay in announcing the birth, the couple captioned the post: “Riya Diamond Webbe.

“I’m sorry it took my parents so long to introduce me. They enjoyed the world of bubble babies, giving me lots of cuddles and kisses with my big sister, Cyan. This is my life so far!’

Simon and Ayshen are already parents to a three-year-old daughter, Cyan.

The couple revealed Ayshen endured five heartbreaking miscarriages and turned to IVF to have Cyan – but they conceived Riya naturally.

Simon also shares another daughter, Alanah, born in 1996, with his ex-partner Nicola Jones.

Blue reunited for a Greatest Hits Tour in 2024, to celebrate two decades together, and toured across the UK throughout the year.

In March, Simon and his wife Ayshen revealed they were expecting their second child after years of struggling with fertility.

In an Instagram post sponsored by Clearblue pregnancy tests, the couple shared a video showing old footage of Ayshen in the hospital during her tragic miscarriages as well as a new clip celebrating the news of their baby with Cyan .

They captioned the post: “Miracles happen, and we are living proof. With the help of Clearblue, we are happy to announce that our family is growing!’

“After enduring heartbreaking losses and overcoming the challenges of IVF, we are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our second child together!

“This journey hasn’t been easy, but every struggle has led us to this moment of pure bliss – by some miracle, we were able to conceive naturally!

The message continues: “Our little miracle, expected in July 2024, is already filling our hearts with love and hope.

“Cyan is absolutely over the moon with this news, and we couldn’t be more grateful for this blessing.” Make way for new beginnings and the incredible journey ahead with the family.

This joyous news follows a long journey to expand their family.

In an Instagram post marking Baby Loss Awareness Week 2023, the couple candidly revealed they experienced a third miscarriage.

The couple welcomed their daughter Cyan in April 2021 after two devastating miscarriages and a failed IVF.

Blue reunited for a Greatest Hits Tour in 2024, to celebrate two decades together, and toured across the UK throughout the year.

The group formed in 2000 and released three studio albums titled All Rise, One Love and Guilty.

After announcing a hiatus in 2004, Duncan James, Antony Costa, Lee and Simon released their first compilation album, Best Of Blue.

The group first came together in January 2011 and represented the United Kingdom in that year’s Eurovision Song Contest, placing 11th after a performance of I Can in Düsseldorf.

They subsequently released two more studio albums, their fourth Roulette in 2013 and their fifth Colors in 2015.

In 2013, they joined groups including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and 5ive to perform a unique concert as part of The Big Reunion.

While their tour was due to begin, it was pushed back after band member Lee was arrested after behaving in an “intimidating” and “crazy” manner on a flight from Glasgow to London City Airport .

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Passing sentence at Isleworth Crown Court, His Honor Judge Nicholas Wood told Ryan he was fortunate to avoid an immediate custodial sentence – adding the sentence was suspended due to remorse he had manifested and the psychological state of the singer.

The judge told Ryan: “You have shamed yourself for this. I think you are aware of this.

He added: “The language you used may be acceptable in the entertainment industry, but it has no place on a plane run by cabin crew.”

But explaining why Ryan was not given a prison sentence, the judge said he had been influenced by a number of psychological reports which detailed the singer’s mental state.

These showed that he had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder; Post-traumatic stress disorder; Dyslexia; ADHD and also struggles with alcohol abuse.

A psychologist also claimed that Ryan was prone to engaging in risky behaviors and also lacked knowledge on how to manage “personal dynamics.”

Judge Wood said: “If he (Ryan) had not had these (disorders) he would have been better able to interpret the situation and think that he should not have boarded the a plane while intoxicated.

“Suffering from these deficiencies and disorders has reduced your guilt. »

The judge said he also gave Ryan a suspended sentence because he believed the incident had “brought him to his senses”.
