Suspect pleads guilty to murder of Cleveland Clinic employee; sentenced to 15 years in prison

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland man accused of fatally shooting a woman while she walked her dog in 2019 pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, prosecutors said.

DaJuan Evans, 24, admitted to killing Sheila Wallace, 58, in McGowan Park on the city’s West Side in January 2019. After the plea, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Nancy Margaret Russo sentenced him to the prison.
