In a bid to ensure seamless travel during the festive season, Central Railway has launched a series of initiatives aimed at reducing irregular and ticketless travel while improving passenger convenience.

As part of its efforts, Central Railway is organizing special ticket inspection campaigns from October 1 to 15, 2024, and again from October 25 to November 10, 2024. These campaigns, aligned with the Railway Board guidelines, are designed to prevent unauthorized persons from traveling. travel in reserved compartments, especially during peak periods linked to the festive frenzy.

From April to September 2024, the railway generated significant revenue of Rs. compliance and operational efficiency.

To combat overcrowding and improve the passenger experience, the commercial department has implemented several key initiatives. Since June 14, dedicated ticket control teams have been deployed on crowded routes, successfully preventing ticketless passengers from boarding reserved compartments and redirecting them to general coaches. Between June and September, more than 254,000 passengers were disembarked or prevented from boarding nearly 13,000 trains, ensuring hassle-free travel for those with valid reservations.

Additionally, rapid response teams have been stationed at critical stations to manage passenger flow and maintain order during peak hours. These teams play an instrumental role in ensuring that boarding processes remain smooth, even during high passenger volumes.
