2 teens injured in 3-vehicle crash in Port Clinton

PORT CLINTON, Ohio (WOIO) – Two teenagers were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Port Clinton Monday evening.

Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say the crash happened around 5:51 p.m. on East 6th Street, east of Adams Street.

An 81-year-old Port Clinton man was backing out of a private driveway when he found himself in the path of two motorcyclists, police said.

A 19-year-old Norwalk girl hit the side of the car and was seriously injured in the crash.

The teen was flown to St. Vincent Hospital, authorities said, and was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

A 17-year-old girl took evasive action to avoid being hit, authorities said, but lost control and flipped the bike onto its side, suffering minor injuries.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
