Suspect threw coffee on woman’s vehicle then shot her windshield (police)

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly threw coffee at a woman’s vehicle and then shot at her windshield following some sort of argument that began Friday morning at a Tim Hortons in Pickering.

Police say the woman was at a Tim Horton’s at Toy Avenue and Bayly Street around 6:30 a.m. when a vehicle honked behind her.

Authorities say the victim left the parking lot and headed west on Bayly Street, but quickly saw the suspect vehicle trying to catch up with her.

The victim drove toward the Pickering GO station in an attempt to flee, but the suspect then pulled up alongside her and threw a coffee at her car, police say.

At that point, the victim continued west on Bayly Street, but police say the suspect turned around and began heading directly toward her.

“As the vehicles approached Liverpool Road, the suspect shot the victim, shattering the driver’s side window,” police said in a statement.

Police say the woman suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a black Jaguar SUV.

“Investigators are asking anyone with a cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage or information about this incident to contact police,” the press release said.
