Knox County grand jury indicts 13 defendants during Oct. 21 session

MOUNT VERNON – A Knox County grand jury returned 13 during its Oct. 21 session.

Cody Hunter, of Centerburg, receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; having weapons while disabled, a third-degree felony.

Keith Smith, of Centerburg, two counts of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a dwelling, both second-degree felonies.

Ashley Smith, of Delaware, possession of cocaine, fifth-degree felony; unlawful transportation of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a detention center or institution, a third-degree felony; forgery, first degree misdemeanor; counterfeiting, a felony of the fourth degree; identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony.

Erika Sargent, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony; criminal trespass, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; driving under suspension, fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Paul Scott Jr., of Mount Vernon, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

Kristopher Loper, of Mount Vernon, kidnapping, third-degree felony; domestic violence, a felony of the fifth degree; disruption of public services, felony of the fourth degree; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree.

Shawn Barrett, of St. Louisville, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; possession of weapons while under disability, third-degree felony; unlawful possession of a dangerous prescription, a felony of the fifth degree; illegal manufacturing or processing of explosives, a felony of the second degree.

Johnny Humphrey Jr., of Lorain Correctional Institution, retaliation, third-degree felony.

Travis Hollar, of Fredericktown, drug possession, fifth-degree felony.

Tammy Hubbard, of Mount Vernon, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

Tony Baucum, burglary, second-degree felony; vandalism, a felony of the fifth degree; second degree damaging criminal offense.

James Wood, of Granville, theft, fifth-degree felony.

Nickolas Porter, of Newark, theft, fifth-degree felony.
