BRICS members to share experiences on intellectual property protection — statement – World

KAZAN, October 23. /TASS/. BRICS countries agree to exchange cutting-edge experiences in intellectual property (IP) for the protection of rights and their use for commercial purposes.

“We welcome the cooperation of BRICS intellectual property (IP) offices and the exchange of best practices and experiences in the field of intellectual property, particularly on advanced technological issues, aimed at supporting rights holders” , member states said in the Kazan Declaration of the 16th BRICS Summit.

“Recognizing the importance of data, statistics and information for effective decision-making, we express our support for strengthening statistical cooperation within BRICS, including the annual publication of the BRICS-I “snapshot of BRICS joint statistical publication, as well as exchange of best practices in the field of official statistics in BRICS member countries,” the statement read.
