Brokerage Expands Its Presence in New Transaction

Ontario brokerage PetleyHare is expanding and yesterday announced the acquisition of Gwilliames & Associates Insurance Brokers.

Gwilliames & Associates Insurance Brokers has been providing home, auto, business, life and travel insurance to clients in the Durham region since the brokerage was established in Ajax, Ontario in 1964.

Founded in 1922, PetleyHare is a full-service brokerage offering home, auto and business insurance through its offices in Oshawa and Port Perry, Ontario. It also offers recreational insurance – boats, RVs and “toys” such as SeaDoos, snowmobiles and ATVs – as well as cyber, drone and yoga insurance.

PetleyHare is a finalist for one of the 2024 Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) Awards of Excellence (Large Brokerage Award).

Gwilliames & Associates Insurance Brokers clients are already beginning the transition to PetleyHare’s business, brand and operations.
