Missing biker found dead on Scottsdale reservation

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — The search for a missing motorcyclist ended tragically after authorities said his body was found Friday evening on a Scottsdale reservation.

Scottsdale police said a man was reported missing by family members around 5:30 p.m. after he failed to return from a bike ride earlier in the day.

Searchers found her body on the McDowell-Sonoran Reservation, near Stagecoach Pass and Boulder View Drive, around 9 p.m., with the help of drones, cell phone data and an off-trail MCSO aerial unit.

Scottsdale firefighters responded to the scene to help remove the man’s body from the storeroom.

Scottsdale police detectives and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the man’s death.

Police say initial information indicates the death may be related to a medical event or a mountain biking accident.
