When incidents like this happen, BBC Verify examines footage posted online to determine what is real and build a picture of what happened.

There are many documents circulating regarding this attack that we are working on.

One video we have verified so far is filmed in a parking lot of the Turkish Aeropace Industries (TAI) building, just outside the capital Ankara.

A few seconds later, you can see and hear an explosion under a distinctive part of the building – that’s how we verified the location video.

Then, about 16 seconds into the video, you can see what looks like a man with a large gun and a large bag moving through the shot.

He walks forward, then turns around. We cannot be sure at this time if this is one of those responsible for the attack due to the quality of the video and their distance.

There are more dramatic images of the complex that we are currently working to verify.
