Have Kody and Robyn Brown forgotten that they’ve been on camera since 2010 as they rewrite history?

Sister Wives stars Kody and Robyn Brown continue to rewrite history. The couple, followed by TLC cameras since 2010, have been documented for years talking out of both sides of their mouths. Will their feet finally be held to the fire at the end of season 19?

‘Sister Wives’ Kody and Robyn Brown have so many versions of the past it’s hard to keep track

In 2010, the world discovered Kody, Robyn, Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown. Sister Wives made the Brown family instant reality stars.

Since then, the series has documented almost every move of the family for 14 years. Thus, there are images showing the clan and their children as they lived, solved problems, and navigated the intricacies of plural marriage.

However, Robyn and Kody Brown seem to forget that they were being filmed. By remembering their versions of past events, the couple modifies the past to suit their needs.

Examples include Kody accusing Christine of not welcoming Robyn and her children (seasons 1–3 show several examples of Christine’s kindness towards them), Janelle admitting that her teenagers would be scolded if they went into Robyn’s refrigerator. Robyn retorted that her house was the “cool house” and that she loved it when teenagers raided her refrigerator.

Other examples include Robyn’s belief that Kody loved all of his wives and children when she came into the family. His affection towards them was evident throughout the series. But in season 19, he told Robyn that he was separated from his children because he “didn’t like their mothers.”

Will producers ever hold Kody and Robyn Brown’s feet to the fire?

Sister Wives usually addressed issues between family members in season-ending reveal episodes. However, as their distance grew, these group replays were filmed separately.

These one-on-one episodes showed just how black and white Meri, Christine, and Janelle’s responses were. But Kody and Robyn provided alternative responses to the scenes they were shown, trying to rewrite the story to suit their own narrative.

On social media, fans begged producers to make the couple respond directly to their actions. Viewers want Kody and Robyn’s facts checked.

So far, the closest the couple has come to being exposed for their lies was two episodes of “Talk Back.” Cast members rewatched scenes from the season and provided real-time commentary.

Kody and Robyn have contradicted many of the statements they’ve made throughout the season. Kody blasted a fan’s remark about his relationship with Robyn, saying they “read too much tabloids” and calling them a “victim.”

In a post on Reddit, fans discussed Robyn and Kody’s continued rewriting of history as their lives were filmed for years. The general opinion throughout the thread was that the couple needed to own up to their mistakes.

After filming the scenes, TLC is expected to head to the series catalog, finding relevant scenes to prove that the couple is changing storylines to suit their narrative. These must be shown following the couple’s contradictory responses to the truth.

One viewer wrote: “He really forgets everything is filmed. Another claimed it was “easy” for Kody to rewrite history, “because every time TLC has a host asking him softball questions and not holding him accountable at all.”

“He now acts like he was forced to marry everyone except Sobbin. Kody claims there was never any real love or relationship between him and the other wives, even though older footage shows otherwise,” a third wrote.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
