Hallandale police arrested Marquis Denmark, of West Park, on Wednesday after stopping him for being in a public park after hours, according to his arrest report.

After conducting a check in Denmark, agents discovered he had outstanding arrest warrants in the Hollywood case, as well as ecstasy pills in his pocket, according to the report.

In an arrest warrant filed Oct. 8, the woman is listed as Jane Doe and Denmark is accused of failing to report her death and setting fire to her body. The warrant did not detail how authorities linked Denmark to the scene.

It is unclear whether Denmark is directly connected to his death and he faces one count of failure to report the death, one count of abuse of a corpse and one count of drug possession.

As of Friday morning, he was being held at the Broward Main Jail on $26,000 bail.
