Surat nurse assaulted: 21-year-old victim harassed by ex-employee inside hospital | Surat News

Surah: In a horrifying incident, a 21-year-old nurse at Limbayat Hospital was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man who had entered the hospital premises to allegedly buy medicines for her ailment. Little did she know, he had other intentions. As she walked to get the medicine, the man followed her and began sexually harassing her.
Thanks to human and technical monitoring, the Limayat Police were able to find Zuber Ansari (19 years old) and apprehend him. It was discovered during the preliminary investigation that Ansari had previously been employed at the hospital.
The victim informed his colleague of the incident and left for his residence the morning after the end of his shift. Once she returned home, she informed her parents of the situation, who advised her to file a police report.
The victim showed up for his night shift Friday evening. After securing the hospital doors, she was posted to the emergency room. On Saturday around 3 a.m., the accused, Ansari, approached the hospital gates. When the victim opened the doors, Ansari claimed he needed medicine to vomit because he didn’t feel well.
He followed her to the store and sexually harassed her. The victim provided him with the drugs and left the store. As she left, Ansari threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone, according to the police complaint.
Limbayat Police Inspector Sahdevsinh Padheriya informed TOI, “We arrested Ansari after booking him for sexual harassment and criminal intimidation under BNS 78(2), 79 and 351(3).”
