Despite the apology, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video continues to struggle critically. In its review, News18 gave the film a two-star rating, highlighting its weak writing and disjointed plot. An excerpt from the review notes: “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video suffers from weak writing, with plot and storyline all over the place. Raaj put some effort into the dialogues, which land in some places, but the sloppy writing quickly rises to the surface, which ultimately took a toll on Rajkummar’s performance. He does his best to carry the film but is weighed down by the lackluster script. Triptii, on the other hand, lacks screen presence. Aside from the scenes already shown in the trailer, it doesn’t stand out as much as one might hope.
