The FBI is investigating the leak of classified documents containing top-secret US intelligence on Israel’s planned attack on Iran, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

“The FBI is investigating the alleged leak of classified documents and is working closely with our partners at the Department of Defense and the intelligence community,” the bureau said in a statement. “As this is an ongoing investigation, we have no further comment.”

The Ministry of Defense has already confirmed that it is investigating the unauthorized release.

The Ministry of Defense has already confirmed that it is investigating the unauthorized release.

“We are deeply concerned, and the president remains deeply concerned, about any leak of classified information into the public domain,” Kirby said. “This isn’t supposed to happen. And it’s unacceptable when it happens.”

Kirby said he had no indication that any other classified documents would fall into the public domain and that the United States was in communication with its Israeli counterparts regarding the disclosure.

“I’m going to let the Israelis say whether they decide to take additional military action in response to the Iranian attack on October 1, whether they decide what, how and when,” Kirby said. “It’s really up to them to talk.”

The documents, classified top secret, were published on the messaging application Telegram last week.

The documents were attributed to the US Geospatial Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency and noted that Israel was still moving military assets in place to carry out a military strike in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on October 1. The documents were shared within the “Five Eyes”, which are the United States, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
