Two people in custody after police say shooting man in west Houston

Houston West – According to Houston Police, a man was flagged down by a woman he knew along Westheimer around 9 p.m. Saturday evening.

Investigators say the man got into the woman’s vehicle to talk to her. Investigators said an armed man was hiding in the back seat under a blanket. Investigators say the two men fought and the gunman began shooting, hitting the other man in the leg. The man was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.

According to police, the two suspects surrendered.
