Fire truck overturns in Hancock

HANCOCK, Maine (WABI) – A fire truck overturned in Hancock Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department, they were heading to a wildfire in Franklin when it happened.

They say initial reports indicate the brakes failed as the vehicle was turning from Route 1 onto Franklin Road.

Authorities say the driver had some bruises from the crash and refused to go to the hospital.

Maine State Police are investigating.
