Etoile Water Supply cancels its boil water advisory

ETOILE, Texas (KTRE) – Etoile Water Supply Corp has canceled a boil water advisory issued Tuesday after a line break.

Read the canceled boil water advisory below:

Due to a line break affecting FM 226 South (all roads south of CR 484) including CR 489 and all branching roads, CR 492, CR 4921, CR 494 and all branching roads, the Commission Texan for Environmental Quality asked the Star The public water system Water Supply Corp. PWS 1740011 must inform all guests to boil their water before consuming it (e.g. washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all guests should follow these instructions).

To ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water intended for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled before being used for drinking water or human consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous boil, then boiled for two minutes.

Instead of boiling it, individuals can purchase bottled water or obtain water from another source suitable for drinking water or human consumption.

When boiling water is no longer necessary, public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe to drink or intended for human consumption.

Once the boil water advisory is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers rescinding the boil water advisory in a manner similar to this notice .

Please share this information with everyone else who drinks this water, especially those who have not received this notice directly (for example, people living in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You may do so by posting this notice in a public place or by distributing copies by hand or mail.

If you have any questions about this, you can contact the EWSC office at (936)-854-2215 or Lacey Johnson at (936)-404-4805.
