For Jean (Gillian Wright), she saw enough and began reporting the situation to social services, who quickly arrived and began talking to Kat about her son.

They then interviewed Alfie (Shane Richie), the twins and Tommy himself, before concluding that little Bert and Ernie, already covered in bruises, simply aren’t safe with their older brother at home.

The welfare officer explained to Kat that she would have to sign an Article 20, which gives authorities the legal right to remove a child from the home when they cannot live with their parents.

They were, however, willing to let Kat find a suitable option for him nearby, with perhaps a family member.

Kat ran out the door and knocked on the Slater house to ask Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Jean to take her in.

But since Jean was the one who called the social in the first place and Stacey reluctantly agreed with her mother that Tommy was dangerous, the couple refused Kat, who growled at them that she would forget him Never.

Kat then tried Phil (Steve McFadden), but he wasn’t home and she couldn’t contact him.

Kind Bianca (Patsy Palmer) offered to take him in, after having done the same before, and the socials were eager to hear it, until she explained that she wasn’t actually into her own home and his sister is in jail awaiting trial for murder.

So it looked like Tommy was going to be rehoused, but before he left he was sure to stick the knife into Kat and Alfie, telling the latter that he had had enough of the joke and cruelly telling his mother that he was embarrassed by She. .

The disturbing scene was interrupted by Zack (James Faraar), who lives next door and, as a registered foster parent, could take Tommy in.

People were happy with it, and Kat seemed happier that he was nearby – but she was upset that he was leaving.

Before returning home, Kat turned to Alfie and lashed out at him, believing he was the one who called the authorities.

He tried to insist that it wasn’t him, but it was too late, the fierce Kat was backed into a corner, pushing everyone away from her.

With her desperately sad, what will happen to Tommy now? And will she discover the truth that it was actually Jean who called the social?
