Arvind Kejriwal to campaign for INDIA bloc in Maharashtra and Jharkhand

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for INDIA block candidates in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, sources said on Thursday.
Arvind Kejriwal is likely to campaign on Assembly seats where the AAP has a volunteer base and the MVA candidates do not have a controversial track record.
Sources further said, “Shiv Sena-UBT and NCP-SP have contacted Aam Aadmi Party for Arvind Kejriwal to campaign in Maharashtra.”
“Kejriwal is likely to campaign on Assembly seats where AAP has a volunteer base and MVA candidates do not have controversial track records. Besides Kejriwal, other senior AAP leaders will also campaign for MVA candidates.”
Kejriwal is also expected to campaign for Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidates in Jharkhand.
“Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for the seats, where his appeal will result in votes for INDIA Bloc, especially in urban seats,” sources said.
Earlier this year, Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, but was released from Tihar jail last month after receiving bail from the Supreme Court.
Maharashtra Assembly Elections
The Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled for November 20 and the counting of votes for 288 constituencies is set for November 23.
The main clash will be between the Mahayuti alliance (BJP, NCP-Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena-Eknath Shinde) and the MVA Alliance (Congress, Shiv Sena-UBT and NCP-Sharad Pawar).
In Jharkhand, the assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with votes being counted on November 23.
The BJP is contesting in alliance with the AJSU, JD-U and LJP, while the JMM, RJD and Congress are fighting together.
