Durango police engage in ‘jump chase’ with kangaroo running loose on Main Street

DURANGO, Colo. (KRDO) – It’s the call that confused dispatchers.

“Hi. So, I know this is going to sound crazy. I was just in town and walking home from work. There’s, like, a baby kangaroo in a diaper, wandering down Main Street.”

The Durango Police Department just released body camera video of a kangaroo chase.

The marsupial is someone’s pet, which is completely legal in Colorado, and it was released in September. He was actually caught shortly after by his owner and brought home unharmed.
