Authorities respond to train derailment in Green Valley

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Santa Rita Fire District is working a train derailment south of White House Canyon Road in Green Valley.

Authorities such as Union Pacific Railroad, Assets, Regional Hazardous Materials, Tucson Electric Power and Phico Water are also on the way.

The Santa Rita Fire District said the incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. on a northbound train.

Eighteen cars are estimated to be involved.
