A poster about anti-social behavior, designed by a 10-year-old child, will be permanently displayed in a local park.

Mia, who attends Beverley St Nicholas Primary School, took part in a workshop where 85 pupils were tasked with creating their own posters about the harms of anti-social behaviour.

Mia’s design highlighted actions such as harassment, bullying and littering.

His work has now been transformed into a sign and installed in Mud Hills Park, off Wilberforce Crescent, Beverley.

Mia’s poster was chosen after attending an East Riding of Yorkshire Council workshop.

Lyn Healing, cabinet member for communities and public protection at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We are committed to building safer communities, and these early interventions are crucial in deterring children from anti-social behavior.

“Congratulations to Mia for her hard work and I hope this helps ensure Beverley remains a good place to live.”

The workshop was designed to help children, approaching secondary school age, understand the negative effects that anti-social behavior can have.
