Airbnb Launches Iconic 'Beetlejuice' Fun House – And Yes, You Can Go Inside, If You Dare (Exclusive)

Fans can book an immersive experience at this spooky New Jersey mansion starting October 23.

<p>That’s so sweet, but don’t say it three times!</p>
<p>A reconstruction of the Deetz residence of <em>Beetle juice Beetle juice</em> is now available to visit thanks to Airbnb.</p>
<p>The house is part of the vacation rental company’s immersive “Icon” experiences and they promise it will be “as it appears” in the 2024 reboot of Tim Burton’s classic horror comedy.</p>
<p>Although Airbnb doesn’t offer overnight stays here, as it does with some other icons, a visit to the Deetz residence promises “supernatural escapades,” incredible photo ops and even an art class.</p>
<p>The house has all the Easter eggs and haunting details. <em>Beetle juice</em> fans could hope for, including the famous Winter River model, wacky checkered tiling, eerie smoke, newspapers straight from the afterlife, and downright spooky staircases.</p>

<p>Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by longtime assistant Delia Deetz who will guide them inside to view “exquisite works of art” reminiscent of the new film and its 1988 predecessor. Visitors will then head to the attic, which could <em>maybe</em> lead them to the afterlife via a “bright green corridor leading to the waiting room with the rest of the recently deceased,” says Airbnb.</p>

“We started thinking, ‘We’re doing this thing. It’s creating a lot of joy for people. What if we took this magic to the next level?'” the Airbnb CEO and co-founder said at the time , Brian Chesky, at PEOPLE. “‘What if we did more, made them even bigger, and put them directly in the central application?’ So that’s what we did.”

This summer, Airbnb also launched a real-life version of Polly Pocket’s iconic plastic house in Littleton, Massachusetts. The sleepover-themed house tickets offered guests both an on-site stay and daytime experience.

<p>Thirty-five years after the original film’s release in 1988, Warner Bros. announced in March 2023 that <em>Beetle juice </em>would finally have a sequel.</p>
<p>Some of the stars of the original film, like Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, reprise their roles for <em>Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.</em> Meanwhile, new faces like Jenna Ortega and Justin Theroux have debuted in Burton’s macabre world.</p>

There have been several failed attempts to greenlight a sequel over the past two decades.
