Sonic The Hedgehog 3’s Ben Schwartz is counting down to the movie, and his post is making me jealous for a reason

The list of video game movie franchises and the actors behind the beloved protagonists or entire cast of characters has grown over the past decade. The best, in my opinion, is Ben Schwartz and Sonic, with the trio of Sonic just around the corner. I don’t know if it’s Schwartz’s charm, my earliest memories of video games including Sonic, or a combination of the two. Anyway, the Parks and Recreation alumnus motivated my love for the duo and my excitement for the new film with his latest Instagram post.

While SEGA’s classic franchise has no plans to slow down Sonic’s Hollywood sagas, fans are gearing up for the fast-approaching trio. It’s on our 2024 movie release schedule and is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20. Although the official press tour hasn’t started yet, Schwartz has been promoting the Hedgehog and getting fans excited with this killer sweater on his social media. He kept things plain and simple and shared that the countdown was on until premiere day.

You can’t deny that the sweater is anything but great and many of us are already trying to find it online (myself included, of course). THE After the party The actor does very well too, letting Sonic be the star that he is. Schwartz’s comments section is full of compliments about the amazing sweater, raving fans, as well as comments about the new Sonic game: Sonic X Shadow Generations. And I personally need this knitting.

The coming Sonic The film has confirmed that it will draw heavily from one of the series’ most beloved fan favorites. The Threesome involves our classic trio, Sonic (Schwartz), Knuckles (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) and Tails (Idris Elba) facing off against a new enemy, Shadow (Keanu Reeves), who possesses unrivaled powers unlike anything they’ve ever seen before . . The new enemy leads the gang to team up with an unlikely partner to maintain balance.

This new opus will certainly bring a lot of new emotions and new stars, including Reeves. There was even buzz around Sarah Paulson’s secret role. No matter who joins us, it will be an adventure. Movies 1 and 2 were generally well received, with varying opinions from gamers and moviegoers alike, and three will be no different.

As for Schwartz and his cute sweater, I hope there are plenty of other nods to Sonic and the team as we continue to count down the days. And maybe a merch drop with this particular piece in the group?
