Triana man shot dead, authorities seek suspect

A man was shot and killed last night in Triana, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 8:10 p.m. on Oct. 21, deputies received a 911 call about a shooting in the 100 block of Murphy Lane in Triana, according to a recent news release.

In response, several units from the Sheriff’s Office and the Huntsville Police Department arrived on scene.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Trayvon Deshawn Harris, 37, had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital by Huntsville Emergency Medical Services for medical treatment, but died from his injuries a short time later.
