Multi-parish drug investigation leads to arrest of music studio owner, business partner

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WAFB) – A music studio owner and his business partner were arrested on multiple drug and criminal operation charges following a multi-agency investigation in two parishes.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) confirmed that Alanza Sibley, 33, and Jessie Dennis, 30, turned themselves in to authorities on Tuesday the 15th. october.

According to law enforcement, in July 2024, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents contacted the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding the distribution of large volumes of high-quality marijuana by a group of residents of Hammond, Ponchatoula and Roseland.

On October 15, TPSO Narcotics detectives teamed up with investigators from the LPSO, Hammond Police Department, DEA and Homeland Security to execute arrest warrants on two homes and a business.

Authorities said several pounds of marijuana and other drugs were found at homes on Estate Circle in Hammond and Prokop Road in Albany. Then, at a music studio on South Morrison Boulevard in Hammond, investigators said they found higher levels of marijuana, shipping and packaging equipment, scales and guns, one of which was allegedly stolen in the parish of Sainte-Hélène.

Sibley faces state charges of RICO (racketeering), criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute CDS, transactions involving drug crimes, and renting a disorderly place. Dennis faces state charges of RICO (racketeering), criminal conspiracy, and possession with intent to distribute CDS.

The investigation is ongoing.
