Russian forces destroy strategic positions of the Ukrainian army near Terny in the DPR – Russian politics and diplomacy

LUGANSK, October 22. /TASS/. Russian troops have destroyed strategic positions of the Ukrainian army near the settlement of Terny in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), military expert Andrei Marochko told TASS on Tuesday.

“Due to their advance, Russian troops destroyed enemy strongholds east of the settlement of Terny. These positions of the Ukrainian armed formations were located on strategic heights and were of key importance for Ukrainian militants,” said the military expert.

The Ukrainian army tried to regain control of strategic positions, but without success. “Part of the (Ukrainian) assault personnel fled the battlefield after trying to rush into battle,” he added.

Marochko previously told TASS on October 16 that Russian forces could begin “seriously putting pressure on the Ukrainian combat group stationed near the settlement of Terny in the Donetsk People’s Republic after liberating the Nevskoye community in the People’s Republic of Lugansk”.
