Family Court Judge Candidate Faces Charges, Complaints | News, Sports, Jobs

A candidate for family court judge faces charges related to a complaint about possible election law violations.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department reports receiving a report on October 8. Following an investigation, Sally A. Jaroszynski was charged with two counts of misconduct in connection with petitions, pursuant to state election law.

Jaroszynski will respond to the accusations at a later date.

Jaroszynski is seeking the position vacated by Judge Jeffrey A. Piazza at the end of the year.

She is a registered Republican and will be on the Working Families Party line in the upcoming November 5 election.

She is a lifelong resident of Chautauqua County and has practiced law in Chautauqua County Family Court for over 30 years. She was elected Ellicott Town Judge and has held that position for 15 years.

New York State election law lists eight potential reasons for these charges.
