CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio —

Theft, market place:

A 43-year-old Chagrin Falls man is charged with three incidents of theft after he was arrested with an unpaid $250.98 Lego R2D2 set on Sept. 26 at Target. He paid for the snacks and drinks in his basket, but not the Lego set. While in custody, he said he had to go to his car to get his wallet and identification papers. Instead of returning to the store, he drove home, leaving behind the merchandise he had paid for. Police investigated and found CCTV footage showing he took but did not pay for another Lego set worth $109.99 on September 14 and two drinks worth $4.78 $ on September 25. On September 30, police found him at his home and charged him. with the three flights.

A 41-year-old Bainbridge Township woman is accused of placing items in her purse and failing to scan other items at the self-checkout counter at 7 p.m. September 25 while shopping at Target. The value of the items is $225.99.

Police responded to a Target call on October 3 at 7 p.m. to find a suspect loading merchandise into his car. She showed the officer her sales receipt, which did not include a $579.99 electric scooter or 62 other items worth $1,300.31 that she had hidden in reusable shopping bags she is also accused of stealing. Video footage shows the woman entering the store empty-handed and leaving with the bags and merchandise. The 51-year-old Twinsburg woman paid for some items at the self-checkout counter and told a store employee she had already purchased the other merchandise. Police charged her with theft and transported her to the Geauga County Jail.

Injury accident, Chillicothe Road:

A 17-year-old Auburn Township girl suffered a bloody nose after crashing into a car stopped making a left turn at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 5 on Bainbrook Drive. Bainbridge Township Emergency Medical Services treated her on scene and released her to her mother. The other driver, a 46-year-old Aurora woman, reported no injuries. Police cited the girl for not keeping a clear distance from other vehicles.
