Kinston Teen Organization Celebrates 10th Anniversary

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern city youth organization is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a neighborhood dinner Sunday afternoon.

Kinston Teens and the East Kinston Neighborhood Hub are hosting the community event at the East Kinston Neighborhood Hub at 818 Tower Hill Road, Kinston, NC 28501, and will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to the Kinston Teens, the birthday celebration will include free meals provided by local food trucks “GrillVille” and “Chubby’s on the Go,” as well as a traditional fish fry meal prepared by volunteers from the East Kinston Neighborhood Hub to mark a decade. of youth-led empowerment, service and community development. Additionally, attendees can access voter education resources to help them prepare for the upcoming 2024 election, receive giveaways, listen to entertainment from DJ Neph, and explore resources from other community partners.

Kinston Teens says the event will provide community members with the opportunity to view renderings and designs for the planned new East Kinston Neighborhood Hub facility, with construction expected to begin by 2026.
