Police searching for suspects after two teenagers shot in Lindsay overnight

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is searching for suspects after two teenagers were shot overnight in Lindsay.

Friday October 11th8:24 p.m., around 1 a.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting at an address on Albert Street South in Lindsay. Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old Oshawa man suffering from a gunshot wound. A second 18-year-old man from Oshawa was also found with a gunshot wound.

Both victims were treated by emergency medical services before being transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they searched the area thoroughly, but the suspects were not located.

Police say the connection between the suspects and the victim is not entirely clear, but the incident is believed to be related to the drug subculture and there is no immediate threat for public safety.
