A housekeeping employee of a private school in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl on the school premises. A teacher and the school’s head of security were also arrested for covering up the crime, police said.

The accused, Nithyanand, a resident of Nithari village in Noida, was hired as a sweeper a few months ago on a contract basis. He allegedly took the girl to a secluded area of ​​the school and sexually assaulted her.

The girl’s parents noticed that she was unusually calm when she returned from school and decided to take her to a doctor. When questioned, she said the staff member touched her private parts.

The family lodged a complaint at the Sector 20 police station on October 10, leading to Nithyanand’s arrest.

Following an investigation, police determined that the girl’s teacher and the school security officer were aware of the assault but did not notify authorities. They were arrested Thursday and charged with receiving a felony.
