2 teens found shot to death in car in Douglas County after iPhone crash alert

Two teenagers are dead after being found shot to death over the weekend and Douglas County deputies are trying to figure out what happened to them.

Deputies say they responded to West Stewart Mill Road, off Bill Arp Road, just outside the Douglasville city limits, early Saturday morning after receiving an automated iPhone crash alert.

Once the police arrived on scene, they did not find an accident.

Instead, they found Beatriz Vega, 17, and Roberto Deleon, 19, in the front seats of the car with serious gunshot wounds.

They were both taken to hospital where they died from their injuries.

Investigators say they are following leads to find out what led to the shooting.
