Intel China responds to accusations of security problems from Chinese cyber association ET Telecom

BEIJING: Intel’s China unit said Thursday it has always prioritized the security and quality of its products, after an influential Chinese cybersecurity association called for a review of the security of Intel’s products. American chip manufacturer sold to China.

“We will maintain communication with relevant authorities, clarify any concerns, and reaffirm our commitment to product safety and quality,” the company said in a statement posted on its official WeChat account.

A security review by China’s cyberspace regulator could impact Intel’s sales in China, which generated more than a quarter of the company’s revenue last year.
