Rat caught eating chicken in Malaysian restaurant

Visiting a restaurant and seeing a rodent munching on food intended for customers is far from desirable.

However, this is a reality that many restaurants face. Rodent infestation is a significant problem and can instantly ruin a restaurant’s reputation.

Recently, several videos have gone viral on social media, showing poor hygiene practices in Malaysian restaurants. It seems a Malaysian restaurant is once again in the spotlight, and this time the main act features a rat.

Mamak stalls are very popular in Malaysia; these are roadside stands that sell food. They are loved in the community for their tasty and affordable food. But it appears they carry the risk of uninvited guests disrupting their daily operations.

The video, shared on social media, shows the rat munching on tandoori chickens left on skewers.

The time and date of the incident was not shared, but a video was posted on Instagram which shows how the rat ran towards customers, leaving many of them screaming.

What was shocking was that none of the staff did anything after seeing the rat feasting on the chicken.
