Mother pleads not guilty to child’s murder in Peoria

PEORIA (25News Now) – A Peoria mother has pleaded not guilty in the death of her 1-month-old child.

Andrea Luncsford, 26, pleaded Thursday to one count of murder and another of endangering the life and health of a child.

One-month-old Grayson Luncsford was found dead by Peoria police on Monday, September 16.

Autopsy results revealed he had been dead for 12 to 24 hours.

Coroner Jamie Harwood ruled Tuesday that cocaine intoxication was the final cause of death, but that the infant also suffered from heat stress, dehydration, malnutrition and neglect.

Luncsford remains incarcerated in the Peoria County Jail.

She is due back in court in November.
