This Morning viewers beg ITV to ‘stop’ as they make same complaint minutes into show | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

This Morning viewers were left disappointed on Wednesday when Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley presented the show in an unconventional way. ITV presenters paid tribute to The Bill’s 40th birthday by dressing up as police officers, with Cat attempting to strike a stern pose.

Ben remarked: “You still have character, you do a great job!”

They then discussed the many famous faces that have appeared on the detective series over the years, including their own cameo roles. However, as the segment dragged on, viewers began to grow impatient.

Taking to Twitter to express their frustration, one person wrote: “#ThisMorning Please stop with the dancing/acting intro. Your viewers are not 5 years old.”

Another complained: “5 minutes later and they’re still talking about themselves.”

Someone else begged: “Oh my lord, can we just get on with the show?

While another viewer sarcastically tweeted: “It’s all about me!”

During their chat, Ben revealed his appearances in the popular sitcom Friends, a Harry Potter film and the Lego Movie alongside Kate Garraway. Cat shared her experience playing a Simpsons character, which she described as incredible.

She commented: “I did a role on The Simpsons which was pretty awesome. We went to the Fox studios. All the old dressing rooms are there so like Marilyn Monroe’s dressing room and all that, you feel the history of the place.”

Cat Deeley revealed that although she recorded her segment separately from others on the show, she managed to get the cell phone back from the episode she appeared in. She also talked about her appearance in Disney’s Shake It Up alongside Zendaya Coleman a few years ago, the Mirror reports.

Discussing working with the now Hollywood sensation, Cat recalled: “She was lovely then and she still is now.”

As for whether she stays in touch with Zendaya, the This Morning presenter revealed that they exchange text messages from time to time. Yet the series took an unexpected turn when Ben Shephard informed viewers that his brother had surprisingly appeared during Lorraine.

Andi Peters, while presenting the ITV competition in Singapore, happened to be sitting next to a man having breakfast who was none other than Ben’s brother.

Returning live, Ben shared: “My brother lives in Singapore, it was my brother Toby who showed up by chance.”

Ben, who had disappeared moments earlier, admitted to discovering his brother’s impromptu feature alongside Andi. He added: “I was coming to the studio so I missed it this morning. My brother made an appearance with Andi’s composition.”

The brothers had a light chat, with Ben revealing that he had warned Annie, his wife, about the surprise on-screen visit.

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
