Tipping Point fans make same complaint, slamming player’s ‘creaky’ move | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

Tipping Point fans rushed to complain as they watched the latest episode of the ITV quiz show. Ben Shephard returned to host Tuesday’s edition of the program, welcoming Joe, Sheril and Richard.

The trio competed against each other in the hope of becoming the person lucky enough to play for the jackpot counter, worth a whopping £10,000. At the start of the game, Joe was congratulated by his co-stars after successfully getting the nine markers past the tipping point.

Shortly after, Sheril repeatedly said “well done” after Richard responded with the correct answer before Ben finished answering the question.

While all three competitors appeared to support each other throughout the match, viewers questioned that as they took to social media to complain.

“Why do contestants wooo and wheeeey while watching other contestants gain untold counters on #TippingPoint,” one fan asked. Another replied: “Because they pretend to look friendly.” They rarely look authentic. »

A third said: “I agree. I find it cringe.” Also calling it disingenuous, another said: “They are really swearing inside. »

Joe’s outstanding early lead meant Sheril and Richard were sent away, leaving him with the chance to win £10,000. However, although he easily reached the final, he struggled to move the jackpot counter near the tipping point.

After exhausting all his counters, Joe revealed that he didn’t want to take any more risks and withdrew from the game early. Deciding not to use three more chips for the jackpot, Joe said: “I think I just got unlucky.”

Explaining the reason for his decision, Joe told Ben that he couldn’t play for the £10,000 as it could potentially cost him everything if things didn’t go his way.

Joe revealed he was hoping to invest money into his wedding ceremony after his initial plans to tie the knot with his partner were postponed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He also wanted to use the money to take his partner and newborn baby on holiday, ultimately deciding to keep the £3,550 he had earned so far.

This turned out to be the right decision, as the three additional counters would not have been enough to push the jackpot counter above the tipping point.
