Bizarre 3D simulation shows how Usain Bolt would crush The Rock and the rapper in a 100m race

As expected, celebrities are no match for Usain Bolt on an athletics track.

The world’s fastest man has regularly left his fellow sprinters in his wake during a glittering career, and now we can see just how far some new contenders would follow him in a 100m race.

In another weird and wonderful simulation provided by MotionAthlete on YouTube, Bolt takes on American rapper Travis Scott and wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

At the starting line, Scott wears a typically casual outfit, wearing a sweatshirt and baggy pants, while Johnson opts for a sportier look, donning a yellow hoodie and shorts.

Meanwhile, Bolt wears the traditional Jamaican yellow and green vest that became iconic on his way to winning eight Olympic gold medals.

Unsurprisingly, the showbiz duo found themselves well behind the sprinting legend moments after the start of the race.

Competing against Bolt’s 100m world record of 9.58 seconds set in 2009, the pair are no match for him as they cruise to a comfortable victory.

Next in line was The Rock, who has no shortage of sports references.

A professional wrestler signed to WWE, the 52-year-old is known for his ripped physique, having previously said he trains six days a week.

He also played American football at a high level, having briefly signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in 1995 after a college career at the University of Miami.

In the simulated race, Johnson crossed the finish line in 11.30 seconds, with the time calculated based on a 2023 tweet in which he claimed to be able to run a 40-yard dash in 4.72 seconds .

Scott finished more than a second behind him in the simulated race, clocking 12.63 seconds to take last place.

The 10-time Grammy Award-nominated artist was credited with this 100m time based on a surprisingly fast sprint to first base he exhibited during a 2021 charity softball game.

And while Scott may have lagged behind his faster rivals in the moving pictures here, his 100m effort would still be very respectable.

According to research, it takes an average adult man between 15 and 20 seconds to cover the distance, while a woman of similar description would likely take between 17 and 23 seconds.

Being beaten by Bolt is a feeling the Jamaican star’s rivals over his 13-year career will know all too well.

Widely considered the greatest sprinter of all time, the 38-year-old has won eight Olympic gold medals over three Olympic campaigns.

As well as holding the 100m world record, he also recorded the fastest ever 200m sprint, clocking an unmatched time of 19.19 seconds in 2009.

Alongside his Jamaican teammates, he also holds the world record in the 4x100m relay, clocking 36.84 seconds at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

After calling time on his illustrious career in 2017, simulated footage pitting Bolt against some of the biggest names in the world of music and entertainment might now be the next best thing.
