Diddy’s case sparks speculation – The Post

On May 17, surveillance footage from a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 showed Sean Combs, better known as rapper and record producer P. Diddy, chasing Cassie Ventura. Upon reaching her, Combs can be seen physically assaulting her.

In Ventura’s lawsuit filed in November 2023, she presented similar allegations regarding the surveillance footage. During their romantic relationship, which lasted from 2012 to 2018, she claimed he subjected her to domestic violence, forced her to engage in sexual acts with other men and initiated into a life of excessive alcohol and substance abuse.

Despite the two out-of-court settlements, these were only the first set of allegations against Combs, with ten other sexual assault lawsuits following. Due to sex trafficking and racketeering charges, Combs was arrested on September 16. On September 17, a federal document listing the charges against Combs was unsealed and made public.

The document raises numerous accusations. Some of them detail “freak-offs,” events that took place after Combs’ parties. During these events, victims were often drugged, coerced, threatened, or coerced into participating in sexual acts with prostitutes.

According to legal documents, associates and members of Combs’ company would contribute in several ways, including booking hotel rooms, purchasing substances and arranging travel for victims. The nature of the events attracted a lot of attention on social media.

Six months before Combs’ arrest, his homes in Los Angeles and Miami were also searched. Law enforcement said they discovered 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants. Additionally, narcotics, such as cocaine, oxycodone, and ketamine, were also found in Combs’ homes. These were used to drug and force victims to participate in sexual acts at the events.

Even after the events, Combs and his associates tracked the victims’ whereabouts, monitored medical records, and controlled the victims’ housing and appearances. Additionally, Combs was also seen brandishing firearms to further threaten the victims. During the searches, three AR-15 rifles with defaced serial numbers were also discovered, as well as a drum magazine.

Combs’ employees were also affected. If an employee of Combs’ company attempted to speak out against him, they would be bribed, threatened with abuse or even mistreated. They were also victims of crimes such as kidnapping and arson.

More details are still available about the case and who may be involved. Currently, Combs awaits trial on May 5, 2025 in a Brooklyn jail after pleading not guilty.

Among those details are those of Tony Buzbee, a Texas attorney who represents 120 plaintiffs who have made sexual assault allegations against Combs. At a news conference, he said some of these sexual assault allegations took place during auditions, but the majority took place at parties. Buzbee also said the list of names of other perpetrators linked to Combs will one day be released and “will shock you,” but those working on the case want to be absolutely certain before releasing them.

Buzbee’s comments sparked a firestorm of speculation on social media about the other perpetrators. However, each name is currently just rumors not supported by any hard evidence.

Additionally, there are many rumors circulating about Combs’ connection to the deaths of A-list stars. One of the most talked about cases is the death of Tupac Shakur. According to Billboard, the rapper was shot and killed in 1996 and Duane “Keefe D” Davis was arrested in connection with it in 2023.

The former gang leader reportedly claimed in the past that Combs offered him $1 million to kill the rising hip hop star. As speculation about Combs’ connection is back in the public consciousness, the late artist’s family has hired an attorney to investigate his death.

Although many of these rumors are simply social media rumors, more details are still available about the affair and the connections Combs may have with other members of Hollywood’s most popular.
