Drone footage captures devastating hurricane damage along Florida coast

Drone footage captured extensive damage along the west coast of Florida on Saturday, October 12, after Hurricane Milton devastated the region earlier in the week.

The footage, filmed by Robert Lyman, shows damage in Englewood, about 30 miles south of where the hurricane made landfall Saturday afternoon.

Lyman told Storyful that he saw “traffic lights still without power, multiple damaged signs, furniture thrown into the woods by wind and storm surge, and many homes in ruins.”
